I didn't mean to be such a tease with that last line of my previous blog, I just needed to end the blog so I could focus on the phone call I was in the middle of :)
There wasn't anything special going on in the NV meeting (there was another NVIDIA meeting earlier today that was more special), the phone call was to cover two issues. The first was this issue with dying GeForce 6800 Ultra cards; at this point we've had one PCI Express NV45 and one AGP 6800 Ultra completely die on us. We've also had one 6800 show up at our doorstep DOA, not to mention two other GeForce 6 cards that have been acting up today. As long as there are no issues with cards that you all have bought, I'm happy, otherwise this is a problem. I have no idea what's causing it but it's something that we are paying attention to.
The next issue was in reference to NV40's Video Processor. I have been waiting for codecs and drivers to test the video processor ever since NV40's release and to this day have not received anything - and it's not due to my lack of trying. I've been hounding NVIDIA every week since the chip's release to no avail. Supposedly I've got a meeting next week to get an update on the situation, needless to say it's frustrating.
I'll keep you posted on what happens. I've got more meetings tonight and if I'm lucky I may go out with a few friends to see Bourne Supremacy, we'll see.

I think nVidia has an overall better idea with more features but we will see what that translates into over some time. Just like with ATI, maybe a new OpenGL driver will improve performance where they are weak.Can anyone really say which card is better at this point? And to say Anandtech is not biased in anyway just goes to show the truth in the phrase "there's a sucker born every minute".

I am taking the side of AnandTech and not Nvidia's or ATi's. You need to check your facts. Maybe you don't need to bother posting on this site.I agree with 110% with #8. I am 110% sure that Anand would talk to ATi if he had lots of ATi cards die on him. Does it not make sense to you? Are you that dumb? May be you haven't developed your brain quite yet?
Besides, I own both a 6800 and a X800 cards so choosing one over the other would be tough. Besides, since you were so sarcastic in your comments I am guessing that your feelings were hurt when Anand tried to do some investigation.

#5 can STFU. AT is the most respected site on the net for copmuter Hardware reviews.Also why the hell would he talk to ATI when he just had a whole sh!t load of Nvidia cards die on him. Certainly if ATI cards died on him i would assume that he would talk to ATI and not Nvidia.
Damn fanboys.
I am thinking of upgrading to a 6800NU, so i hope we get some news on the Video Encoder/Decoder.

#5: I hope you are not saying that Anand or AnandTech is biased in any way. He is having problems with Nvidia products so obviously he is gonna pursue Nvidia and make their life miserable to get answers to his questions. I am sure Anand would push ATi just as hard if the X800 series cards were having the same problem as the 6800s.You don't know behind-the-scenes meetings so stop making comments on things you don't know about.
