I just wanted to chime in and wish all of you a very happy holiday. I just finished wrapping the presents and putting them under the tree so now I wait out the minutes until Christmas arrives :)
I got one present early before we drove down - a 30" Apple Cinema Display from Vinney. The monitor is nothing short of amazing and because of it for the first time in a few years I'm running a single display on my main system.
Anyways, enjoy the holidays and be safe out there.
Take care

Wow! Vinney must really love you! ;-)Happy Holidays all!
BTW, have any of you actually seen Apple's 30" Cinema Display with your own eyes? It is truly a thing of beauty. I can't remember the last time a had such admitted techno-lust. ;-)

#18: Having more knowledge is sort of redundant in 6600 vs. 6600 GT comparison. The architecture is the same, expect for lower clock speeds, which will cause performance hits.Acquiring knowledge does not mean that you run tests on every single computer component just to know its performance. If you are following up with 6800 and 6600 architecture, you should know what to expect from the plain 6600.
Let me give you one advise, never be a lawyer. You will lose horrendously.
BTW Anand, that's a nice monitor. :)

#13: Yes, there are certain things that Windows can do better than Macs and there are certain things that Macs can do better.Besides, even if there is no difference between the two platforms, according to you, we still want to learn more about other platforms.
There's nothing wrong with having more knowledge, so at least you can comment appropriately and knowlingly when talking about platforms other than Windows.
We don't want to be ignorant like you and say, "why is everyone looking forward to a Mac article it's not like they can do much more then a PC can."
Please stop with your ignorant comments. Just take a look at 6600GT benchmarks and you can easily guess the performance of the 6600 non-GT.

whew, I thought the resolution crown was going to the macs until I found this!the IBM T221-DG5... QUXGA-W (3840x2400)
now I just need to find a CRT with a higher resolution... I can only go on about color depth and accuracy for so long
merry christmas anand, thanks for another year of top-notch coverage
